EMSEA Masterclass: Working with excluded communities

Accessing the ocean's joy, awe, and wonder can be challenging when barriers limit inclusivity. This discussion will explore what true inclusivity looks like in delivering ocean-based activities across Europe. Practical strategies for integrating accessibility into your work will be shared, ensuring that everyone can experience the sea's magic. Attendees will reflect on the obstacles individuals may face when accessing the ocean, while definitions of accessibility and inclusivity and the frameworks that support these essential principles will be examined. EMSEA members, Rada Pandeva from the Thalassophile Project and Freyja Thomson-Alberts from the Ocean Conservation Trust, will guide you through this inspirational session.

☝️Expect an interactive discussion with practical tips on integrating accessibility into your work and creating ocean experiences that everyone can enjoy!
